What is your photographic experience?
I studied fine art and fashion photography as well as photojournalism at Winthrop University. After college, I worked for several local newspapers as a writer and photojournalist and helped photograph weddings on weekends. I worked in a portrait studio for a number of years before returning to weddings.
What’s your wedding photography style?
Since my background is a blend of photojournalism and fine art photography, I tend to document the day as it unfolds, but also create unique, artistic and oftentimes dramatic portraits using creative lighting, photographic techniques, and interesting perspectives. I love photographing portraits at night and creating one of a kind portraits with light painting and long exposures.
Throughout the day, coverage will change depending on what’s going on- details will be styled, getting ready images will be documented, family portraits will be taken in a more traditional manner
Are you available for destination weddings?
Yes! I am based near Charlotte, NC, but I love to travel and am available for destination weddings and portrait sessions all over the world. Destination wedding photography packages include the cost of travel and accommodations. Locations within a 50 mile radius of Charlotte NC, Asheville NC, Boone NC, Myrtle Beach SC, and Charleston SC are considered within ‘local’ range and do not incur any additional travel fees.
